Our mission is to train the minds and improve the hearts of young people through a content-rich classical education in the liberal arts and sciences, with instruction in the principles of moral character and civic virtue. Naples Classical Academy is a growing public charter school that opened in the fall of 2021 and now serves scholars grades K - 12. Our school follows a classical curriculum that includes a variety of important subjects including history, Philosophy, Language Arts, Mathematics, visual arts, science, music, physical education, and others. The essence of virtue, Western philosophy, and moral character permeates our curriculum as we seek to instill a love for knowledge and learning in our scholars.

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Must have the ability to work in a team environment and successfully and positively communicate with supervisor, members of team, other departments, parents, and vendors.
  • Perform maintenance on exterior and interior of buildings, repairs or replacement related to plumbing fixtures, carpentry, electrical fixtures, door hardware, etc.
  • Perform custodial and other miscellaneous facilities tasks.
  • Accompany and supervise repair and maintenance vendors working in the building.
  • Performs exterior repairs or replacements related to roofs, soffits, siding, gutters, downspouts, windows and screens, and more. Investigates and resolves maintenance work orders.
  • Maintains sidewalks and parking lots by keeping them clean and free of debris.
  • Prepares, monitors and serves as parking lot assistant during drop off and pick up times of students.
  • Performs janitorial services. Duties may consist of trash removal, vacuuming, waxing and mopping floors, and sweeping hallways. Must be available in the evenings and weekends during school events.
  • Planning, setup & breakdown school events
  • Completes accurate paperwork, records, and documents
  • Tracking, inventory and ordering custodial/operational supplies
  • Performs other related duties as required.
  • Bilingual English/Spanish helpful

Minimum Qualifications

  • At least 18 years old.
  • Driving record in good standing.
  • High school diploma.
  • 2+ years’ experience in a related field.
  • Some type of trades certificate is preferred.
