Description:
Coordinate a multi-tiered model of support delivery aligned with classical pedagogy that identifies student needs, establishes appropriate research-based interventions, and enables the efficient use of school resources
Provide technical assistance to administrators, teachers, and school-based leadership teams to facilitate implementation of a multi-tiered system of support (MTSS) at the level
Coordinate efforts between school, district, families, and support services to meet the needs of identified students
Responsibilities:
Coordinate district efforts to provide high quality instruction and interventions for academic and behavioral (RTI and PBIS) that are matched to student needs and aligned with classical pedagogy
Monitor students progress frequently to make decisions about changes in instruction or goals and apply student response data to make appropriate decisions
Ensure fidelity of building level MTSS meetings that include continual application of a structured problem-solving process that involves staff, families and support services
Ensure implementation of evidence-based behavioral practices as determined by the team
Prepare and compile academic and behavioral data and shares with appropriate personnel
Establish written policies, practices and implementation plans
Provide necessary training of MTSS policies & practice to staff and attends all district trainings
Establish and maintain a system of communication between students, staff, and families to share areas of success
Address implementation barriers and ensure on-going fidelity of MTSS implementation across the district
Perform other related duties as assigned
Work with urgency and purpose to drive student outcomes
Seek and respond well to feedback, which is shared often and freely across all levels of the organization
Qualifications:
High level of content-area proficiency in Math and ELA as evidenced by teaching certification, field of study, or work-experience
Required: Bachelor’s degree
Experience in K-12 classical classroom setting preferred
Reading Endorsement preferred
PBIS and academic MTSS implementation experience preferred
Knowledge and Skills:
Knowledge of core academic subject assigned
Knowledge of classical curriculum and instruction (or eager willingness to learn classical pedagogy)
Knowledge of evidence-based practice
Knowledge of school-wide MTSS implementation
Ability to coordinate and assess Functional Behavior Assessments and Behavior Intervention Plans
Ability to instruct students and manage student behavior
Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
Ability to adjust and adapt to multitude of situations in the school environment
Demonstrate leadership skills
Data analysis
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office and/or Google Suite
Ability to problem solve, think strategically, and manage conflict situations
Understanding of and ability to provide data, strategies, goals, and recommend interventions using multisensory practices
