Position Overview:

The Receptionist serves as the primary point of contact for the school, handling student and parent needs, walk-ins, and phone calls, along with various administrative duties. This is a 10 month, full-time, hourly position reporting M-F,  7:30-3:30 to the Operations Manager and the Head of School.

Skills:

·      Ability to interact professionally with students, families, faculty, staff, prospective students and families, and visitors.

·      Professional, friendly and approachable demeanor with a customer service-oriented mindset. A people-person.

·      Flexibility to adapt to changing priorities and handle multiple tasks simultaneously.

·      Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks effectively.

·      Ability to maintain confidentiality and exercise discretion when handling sensitive information.

·      Demonstrated ability to work independently as well as collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.

·      Proficient in using Microsoft Office software

 helpful if experienced with data entry program . 

·      Ability to bend, reach, and lift boxes and office supplies up to 30 lbs.

Responsibilities:

·      Serve as the primary point of contact for the school.

·      Answer phone calls and respond to inquiries related to school activities and functions.

·      Oversee late arrivals and early dismissals.

·      Communicate emergency dismissals and cancelled school days.

·      Work with Operations Team & serve as backup for Health & Wellness position

·      Take and communicate attendance.

·      Process mail/deliveries 

·      Help students with other immediate needs.

·      Maintain an organized library of forms/documents needed by parents.

·      Distribute school documents related to functions and procedures including after school clubs, before and after school care, school disclosures, event calendar and more as directed.

·      Support Faculty and Staff when preparing for events.

·      Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Requirements

  • Required: At least 18 years old

  • Required: High school diploma, college preferred

  • Required: 2+ years experience in a related field

  • Required: Computer experience

  • Required: Strong organizational skills

  • Required: Strong Communication skills
