Naples Classical Academy (NCA) is seeking an experienced and passionate Girls Head Varsity Volleyball Coach to lead our growing athletics program. The ideal candidate will possess a strong knowledge of the sport, a proven record of coaching success, and a commitment to the mission and values of Naples Classical Academy.
The Head Coach will provide leadership for the Girls Varsity team while helping develop a unified volleyball program that supports the growth of student-athletes at all levels. This individual should demonstrate integrity, strong leadership, and the ability to positively influence students both on and off the court.
Position Responsibilities
Lead and supervise all aspects of the Varsity Volleyball program, including practices, competitions, and team activities.
Develop student-athletes’ skills, discipline, teamwork, and sportsmanship consistent with the values of Naples Classical Academy.
Plan and implement effective practice structures, game strategies, and player development plans.
Provide leadership and guidance to assistant coaches and support program alignment across Varsity, Junior Varsity, and Middle School teams.
Promote a team culture focused on character development, leadership, and academic accountability.
Ensure compliance with all school policies, conference rules, and FHSAA regulations.
Collaborate with the Athletic Director and school leadership to support the overall success of the athletics program.
Manage team communication, equipment, uniforms, and other program responsibilities.
Assist with promoting and growing the volleyball program through student engagement and community support.
Qualifications
Minimum 3 years of volleyball coaching experience at the middle school, high school, or collegiate level (head coaching experience preferred).
Strong knowledge of volleyball fundamentals, rules, strategies, and training methods.
Demonstrated leadership ability and strong organizational skills.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
Ability to mentor assistant coaches and serve as a positive role model for student-athletes.
CPR/First Aid certification (or willingness to obtain).
Must pass all required background checks.
Position Requirements
Must be 21 years of age or older.
High school diploma (minimum requirement).
Athletic Coaching certification required (or willingness to obtain prior to employment).
First Aid, CPR, and AED certification required (or willingness to obtain).
Compensation
This position is compensated with a seasonal coaching stipend, based on experience, responsibilities, and the length of the season.
